On November 16th, Sandro Doux, Secretary General of the International Police Sports Federation, gave an exclusive interview to reporters, discussing his views and feelings on the Second World Police Pistol Shooting Competition.

Reporter: What is the role of the International Police and Sports Federation?

Sandro Doux: The International Police Sports Federation has been established for 28 years and is the only international police sports organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee. It is committed to promoting police sports on all continents of the world.

Reporter: Why hold a pistol shooting competition?

Sandro Doux: Pistol shooting is an important component of police daily tasks, and as mentioned earlier, we are committed to promoting sports related to the police, with pistol shooting being the most important part of it. At the same time, the International Federation of Police and Sports also offers events such as self-defense, cycling, and swimming.

Reporter: What is your impression of Chinese police?

Sandro Doux: I greatly admire their professionalism. They are well-trained and well-equipped. Many of my colleagues have asked me where I can buy specialized equipment like Chinese police. I think Chinese police are an excellent role model for international police and can exchange and share advanced experiences with police officers from all over the world.

Reporter: Please share your views on China's international law enforcement cooperation concept of "cooperation, innovation, rule of law, and win-win".

Sandro Doux: China has integrated the concept of "cooperation, innovation, rule of law, and win-win" international law enforcement cooperation into this shooting competition, which has left a deep impression on me. I believe that this concept will have a great promoting effect on future police cooperation.

Reporter: What impressed you the most about this competition?

Sandro Doux: What impressed me the most was the excellent theme orientation of this competition, and all the participating players and observation countries were very satisfied. Taking advantage of this pistol competition, we deepened our communication with each other.

Reporter: What is your opinion on the setting of 10 practical scenarios?

Sandro Doux: I am very impressed by these 10 scenes. These scenes are very realistic and practical for marksmen, and can fully simulate the scenes encountered in real combat. Because you can never predict what you will encounter, the reality and unpredictability of the scene are the most important and motivating for the participating team members.

Reporter: What are your expectations for the next competition?

Sandro Doux: The next competition will be held in Milan, Italy next year. We will host the USIP International Police Games, which includes sports related to police besides shooting. I am looking forward to China's participation.
